Universal Studios Is Opening A Chocolate Factory That’s Just Like Willy Wonka’s

Admit it, the first time you ever experienced true jealousy as a child was when you watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, at least that’s when I did. Seeing those ungrateful, unworthy kids romp around what was quite possibly the greatest place of all time, real or imagined, filled me with hope, wonderment, and a serious case of envy. As a child, I held out hope that someday I, too, would get to visit this magical chocolate factory.

But as I grew older, I learned that this place doesn’t exist, and don’t even try to tell me that Hershey Park is kinda like it, because Hershey Park freaking sucks.

And just as I totally gave up to ever see this magical place in person, Universal Studios had to go and announce that they’re building this:

1

All right, well it’s not the same chocolate factory from the movies, but it’s pretty damn close: the Toothsome Chocolate Factory will be coming to Universal CityWalk later this year and it looks freaking incredible.

2

And although this place isn’t officially affiliated with the movies, it doesn’t take a genius to see that they’re totally biting off the films, and I’m OK with that.
Universal says that the restaurant “will transport you into a 19th century-inspired Steampunk chocolate factory [with] towering smoke stacks, funky gadgetry, and staff wearing unique Steampunk fashion.”

3

The eatery’s going to serve up “unique twists on classic steak, seafood and pasta entrees, gourmet burgers, sandwiches, incredible salads, all-day brunch and so much more.”
But we all know what you’re thinking, forget about the entrees and all that jazz, what about the desserts? Well fear not, because they’ll be dishing out stuff like this (heavy breathing).

And this (salivating).

AND THIS (wipes sweat from forehead).

I know where I’m going on my cheat day.
This is you, and me, and pretty much everyone who’s looking at these pictures right now:

Can this place just open up already?
