Mom Who Suffered 6 Miscarriages Is Celebrating Her ‘Rainbow Baby’ With Stunning Photoshoot

Mother nature can have a merciless comical inclination once in a while. This became evident to me when my wife and I got pregnant after just 3 months of marriage despite the fact that we were using birth control.

We weren’t ready for kids and frankly, I didn’t really want one. However after I pushed through my initial idiocy and came face-to-face with the fact that I wanted to be with my wife forever, I bit the bullet and proceeded on being a father and haven’t thought back.

What’s more, we were fortunate to have a difficulty free pregnancy. Unfortunately, some people aren’t so lucky.

Kevin Mahoney’s wife, Jessica, unfortunately suffered 6 miscarriages after the birth of their first child, Corbin.

So to help give an extra burst of hope for his family, after Jessica’s pregnancy was advancing without complications, he asked photographer JoAnn Marrero to take a stunning photoshoot of his wife.

And the results were absolutely remarkable, with the epic smoke bomb shot being shared on popular Facebook pages, much to the delight of the internet.

Morrero was extremely proud with the way the photo came out and says that the shoot holds a special place in her heart.

“It was both exciting and insane to see this lovely portrait go viral and not just for Mary and I, but for the family who had felt so many losses prior to this pregnancy…The response has been overwhelming. I’m so happy with the end result for numerous reasons, both personal and professional. Jess also happens to be my friend and neighbor, and I am so proud of her for never giving up hope and Corbin will finally get to be a big brother!”

Jessica also shared a beautiful message with JoAnn after the shoot.

“Six babies lost to have the honor to carry this rainbow baby. I hope my story helps someone else to know they are not alone, as the journey of loss and infertility is dark and lonely.”

Now excuse me, I got something in my eye and I need to remove it.
