#4 Got New Jeans?
So you went out to the store to get that dress you’d been eye-ing for the past month and out of excitement, came back wearing it. We’re all guilty of doing that once in a while, and trust me, I wish the world was more forgiving of this.
But after you find out what you’re really wearing home from the store, you will never do it again. In fact you’ll wash new clothes at least twice before you wear them.

#3 Wash New Clothes Twice
“In terms of hygiene, it’s a very good thing to do. Being a dermatologist, I’ve seen examples of some strange stuff, so I don’t take any chances.” – Dr. Donald Belsito, to the Wall Street Journal
Obviously a lot of people try on the clothes at the store before you decide to buy them. You’d be wise to wash them first because they do contain lice and infectious skin diseases that you can get.
But that’s not the whole story… keep reading.
Synthetic fabrics are usually coloured by using azo-aniline and urea formaldehyde is in anything that’s wrinkle free. Yep, that includes your jeans. They can usually cause irritation, but if you turn out to be allergic…well let’s just say you don’t want an allergy in your crotch.
So you’d be wise to wash your new clothes at least twice. But what about not washing your jeans or days together?
You’ve done it, I’ve done it and I was utterly shocked when I found this out…
#1 Fricking Biohazard!
CNN’s Anderson Cooper made the news in 2012 after he publicly stated he only washes his jeans every four to six months. Fashion consultant Stacy London surprised the host on “Anderson Live” with the results of a test done on a pair of his jeans.
You’ll be shocked to know that his jeans was a whopping 192 times more polluted than the average person’s. It was so horrible that it could be classified as a biohazard! That’s equivalent to nuclear waste!
So take your pants off and run to the laundry right now!
