As you know, when 49ers reinforcement quarterback Colin Kaepernick chose to remain down during the National Anthem, he prompted a noiseless challenge that has been clearing crosswise over America and infiltrating the youth including high school football teams.
Furthermore, few individuals are content with what this man is doing. His simple protest has further divided a country already on the brink of hateful disorder.
But during a late meeting with fabulous NFL mentor Mike Ditka Friday on 103.5 The Fan, Ditka had a couple of decision words to say in regards to Kaapernick that provoked everybody up.
And although some people supported what Ditka said, much more people pointed out the fact that what he said was borderline racist and inappropriate. Here it is in full…
When the radio program asked for Coach Ditka’s opinion, he gave it to them raw and unfiltered. They had no idea what they were in for…
“I think it’s a problem…anybody who disrespects this country and the flag. If they don’t like the country they don’t like our flag…get the hell out.
“I have no respect for Colin Kaepernick – he probably has no respect for me, that’s his choice. My choice is, I like this country, I respect our flag, and I don’t see all the atrocities going on in this country that people say are going on.
“I see opportunities if people want to look for opportunity – now if they don’t want to look for them – then you can find problems with anything, but this is the land of opportunity because you can be anything you want to be if you work. If you don’t work…that’s a different problem.”
Ditka is just one of many people to slam Kaepernick including NASCAR driver and more. Yet since he is a recognized NFL celebrity, his response is quite inflammatory compared to what others have said.
And now Ditka is taking the heat for his offensive remarks. Here’s what just some people wrote in on Twitter after the interview.
“He is home you racist. Here is HOME. The USA is his home JUST AS MUCH as it is YOURS Mike Ditka! Nobody gave you the right to decide you AH!,” @bellatrova wrote.
“I guess suits at @ESPN keep Mike Ditka on the payroll so he can keep embarrassing them w/idiotic, racist social commentary,” Twitter user @KwikWarren wrote in.
“Dear Mike Ditka, if u don’t like NFL athletes exercising their 1st amendment right, then get the hell out of NFL,” @tmsruge wrote in.
“So now Mike Ditka is exposing himself as a suspected white supremacist. Telling Blk ppl who want justice to leave,” Tariq Nasheed wrote on Twitter.
But that was only the beginning. The remarks soon got even more heated as people began poking fun at the angry NFL coach.
“Mike Ditka can eat a Ditka. Closeted racists are showing their heads left to right, now, huh?” Christopher Douglas wrote in.
“In the end, I appreciate Mike Ditka for coming out of hiding and showing himself off as 1 of the cancers in society,” @SirBadHollywood tweeted in demonstrating what side he is on.
“PS. Mike Ditka is a piece of s**t. F**k him and whatever he did as a football player. His comments on Kap tell you all you need know,” wrote @CousinFeo on Twitter.
Currently, Kaepernick has not responded to Ditka’s comment. Ditka has not issued any statement about what he said either.
