Dogs without a doubt turn into a piece of our families, and our hearts, ordinarily inside hours or minutes of bringing them into our homes.
They’re more than only a “pet,” they’re our buddies, our closest companions, and our noiseless support.
Whether you’re a man, a lady, youthful or old, these dogs that come into our lives normally end up being the best four-legged animals we’ll ever meet. Once in a while surpassing numerous two legged individuals we may know and love.
And all of this means, that when it’s time to say goodbye to our beloved pups, it’s just as hard as saying goodbye to one of our ‘human’ family members.
We had to put my dog, Ruby, down because of all of her medical issues, leaving her weeping and in pain. That was one of the hardest moments of my life.
But, in the end, it’s always better to put your loved ones out of pain, and hope that they’re happy again in another life.
Looking back on the memories and good times can get you through any sad day thereafter. For Kelly O’Connell those memories will last forever in amazing photography because some of her dog, Charlie Bear’s last days were during her wedding celebration.
He was diagnosed with a brain tumor at 15 years old, and O’Connell knew, she would someday lose ‘her person,’ as she called him.
O’Connell had her sister, and maid of honor, Katie Lloyd carry her large black lab down the aisle on the day of the wedding.
The emotions captured in the photos are absolutely raw, and heartbreaking, but so beautiful. Everyone can relate to a moment like this, and although it was a bittersweet moment, I’m sure that O’Connell loved being able to have Charlie Bear there.
